If Microsoft 365 apps are installed (programs & features) however when you go to the "Account" section of the office apps are reporting as Office 2016, try running the "RemoveOfficeLicenceV2.exe" tool under the Tools\O365 Tools SP and if that doesn't work follow the below steps.

1. Run CMD (Regula CMD Prompt)  AS AN ADMINISTRATOR [search cmd>R-click>Run As Administrator]

2. Paste the following into the cmd window, and hit enter (include cd)

For 32 Bit Office:

cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office16"

or for 64 Bit

cd "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16"

3. Copy/Paste the following:

cscript ospp.vbs /dstatus

look for a 5 digit code [numbers and letters]

If it finds more than one install, do this for each instance.

4. cscript ospp.vbs /unpkey:"put info from line 3 here" <copy key info from line 3. above eg. RJP83>

EXAMPLE:<<<

cscript ospp.vbs /unpkey:"RJP83"

5. Open Word and follow activation steps. [Sign in with the Licensed User]
